James Carr
Chief Financial & Corporate Strategy Officer
Over his career, James has held the role of CFO and CEO at a number of Climate Tech and venture-backed startups, leveraging his expertise in corporate strategy, financing and M&A. He brings this wealth of experience to MetOx as the company embarks on a pivotal growth phase.
James started his career with LEK Consulting, a London-based corporate strategy consultancy. Subsequently, he joined Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division, where he executed numerous M&A transactions, financings and IPOs across a range of industries including manufacturing, utilities and oil & gas.
James transitioned from the advisory side to management when he moved to Colorado. Initially, he served as CFO for a healthcare startup, contributing significantly to its growth and eventual sale to a private equity firm. Subsequently, he has been a member of the leadership team of a number of Climate Tech startups. Most recently, James was President of Generac Grid Services, a division of Generac Holdings. James joined Generac through Generac’s acquisition of Enbala Power Networks, a VC-backed startup where James held the position of CFO.
Carr earned his BA/MA in Politics & Economics from Oxford University.
