W. Jim Jewitt

Already an investor in MetOx, Jim joined the company in 2015. He lead the company through the Series A and worked with the Board to find Bud Vos, who became CEO in August, 2022. Jim supported Bud as COO until retiring and transitioning to a consulting advisor at EOY 2023.
Previous to MetOx, Mr. Jewitt co-founded a power focused private equity business at El Paso Corporation, then at a biodiesel start-up where he was COO, and at a family office that focused on turnarounds, where he was a Managing Director. Earlier, Jim began his career in the Canadian oil industry and accepted a transfer to the US where he was recruited to the independent power industry by ESBI Energy. While at ESBI he rose to become CEO and started the first for-profit transmission administrator, which served the Province of Alberta.
He is a graduate of the University of Calgary with a BSc in Engineering and an MBA.
